Songs of Praise (Charity Event)

Lovers of brass band music and a rousing sing-song will be delighted to hear about this year’s Songs of Praise at Carsington Water, which will take place at 3pm on Sunday 4 July, with music provided by The Ashbourne Town Band and the Dale’s Worship Group.
More than 600 people from near and far attended the last event in 2008, which is organised by the multi-denominational group Ashbourne and Wirksworth Churches Together.
This year’s event will celebrate Water and the Life it Brings and is in aid of the Charity Water Aid, an international organisation founded in 1981 by the UK Water Industry, which works to transform lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world’s poorest communities. Water Aid will have a display stand at the event.
